BPD and Other Important Disorders.

According to the June 2022 World Mental Health Report of the World Health Organization (WHO), depression and anxiety increased by 25% in the first year of the pandemic. With this, the number of people suffering from a mental illness amounts to almost 1,000 million, so it is very likely that many of us know several people (either receiving treatment or not) with this diagnosis.

Another disorder that has seen a slight increase in its diagnosis has been Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a mental disorder that affects a person’s emotions, behavior, and relationships. Individuals with BPD experience intense and unstable emotions, have a distorted self-image, and struggle with impulsivity and self-destructive behavior.

However, it is important to note that BPD is not the only mental disorder that affects individuals. There are other minor mental disorders that are often overlooked or dismissed as just a part of everyday life. These disorders may not be as severe as BPD, but they can still have a significant impact on a person’s mental health and well-being.

It is important to recognize that these minor mental disorders can still have a significant impact on a person’s life and well-being. Seeking professional help from a therapist or psychiatrist can help individuals manage their symptoms and improve their overall quality of life.
